A deputy mayor was questioned under a warning on the suspicion that he illegally brought a tourist from Ukraine into Israel

As part of an ongoing investigation by the National Fraud Investigation Unit (NAU) in Lahab 433, on suspicion of receiving something fraudulently and attempting to enter the country illegally, an elected official in a local authority was investigated this morning (Friday) with a warning, as well as a tourist from Ukraine, who arrived in Israel on a flight last night.

At the end of the investigation, the elected official, deputy mayor, was released under restrictive conditions and the tourist’s detention was extended at the Peace Court in Rishon Lezion until October 23.
