In particular, as a result of the studies carried out in the framework of the administrative proceedings, the research and evaluation of the evidence in the case, it was confirmed that the above-mentioned companies agreed to periodically reduce the selling price of chicken eggs during December 2019 and January and February 2020, and in March 2020, the same businessmen a price change was agreed upon, in this case, a price increase.
At the same time, in the period from April 1 to August 27, 2020, manifestations of concerted price policy behavior were also recorded, both in terms of simultaneous price reduction and increase.
It should also be noted that the price changes made by the companies were not due to the change in the cost of the product or other economic factors and/or were not proportional to the change in the cost.
The infringement had a negative impact on the competitive situation in the shell egg product market, as well as a number of small and medium-sized business entities were affected, and 9 small farms were left out of the market.
