A Gujarati can travel around the country; Can’t a Bengali do that? – Mamata

by time news

Panaji: Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has asked why a Bengali can not travel around the country if he is a Gujarati. Mamata Banerjee made the remarks during a meeting in Goa.

‘I am told that I am a Bengali. So who is he (Narendra Modi)? Is Gujarati. Will you tell him not to come here because he is Gujarati? A Bengali can write the national anthem. Does it mean that another Bengali should not come to Goa at the same time?

Everyone respects Mahatma Gandhi. Does anyone ask if he is from Bengal or outside Bengal or from Goa or UP? The national leader is the one who brings all sections together, ”Mamata said.

Mamata said other parties had questioned the Trinamool Congress’ entry into Goa politics and had come to Goa not to control party leaders but to support them.

English Summary: If a Gujarati can go all over the country, why can’t a Bengali: Mamata Banerjee in Goa
