The death of a 40-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man who overturned with their vehicle on Azriel Hildesheimer Street in Jerusalem was determined. Another woman who was trapped was rescued from the vehicle in serious condition.

MDA paramedic Mord Ebrahim and MDA senior medic Moshe Hamed said: “It was a very serious car accident. It was raining heavily and the street was wet. A 40-year-old woman was lying on the side of the road unconscious with a very severe multi-system injury, she was without signs Haim and all we had to do was determine her death. A few meters away from her, a man and a woman were trapped inside a vehicle that was upside down on its side with severe metal injuries on all sides. During the rescue operations, we performed medical tests, the man had no signs of life and was pronounced dead on the spot and the woman was conscious and suffering from a very severe multi-system injury. After the rescue operations, we transferred the injured woman from the vehicle to an intensive care unit and evacuated her to the hospital in serious condition.”

The deputy commander of the incident shift, Rabbi Rami Meir: “We arrived at the scene of a serious accident with a vehicle that flipped over on its side and two people were trapped inside. We started complex rescue operations. The vehicle was upside down on its side and crushed, so there was no access to the trapped people. We decided to cut the roof using special hydraulic tools and thus managed to rescue the trapped people.
