A man was arrested in Moscow while trying to steal the body of Vladimir Ilich Ulyanov, Lenin. Russian police arrested him while trying to open the mausoleum that houses the embalmed body of the leader of the Russian Revolution.
The incident happened in the early hours of Monday, according to the newspaper. Moskovski Komsomolets. The man is 42 years old and is a furniture assembler, who roams the mausoleum at night. He went to the door and tried to open it, at which point he was arrested.
The subject admitted that he wanted to take Lenin’s body, but did not say why. He spoke incongruently, so the authorities called psychiatrists, who They claimed that he is mentally ill.
From what was later learned, the man had divorced and fallen into alcoholism and barely has a job. He said that on Sunday morning he should meet a friend in Moscow and that at night he was still in the capital drinking alcohol with another person, and that he did not remember anything of what happened afterwards.
