Triple reigning world champion, Max Verstappen won the Chinese Grand Prix. In Shanghai, the Red Bull driver beat the Briton Lando Norris (McLaren) and his teammate Sergio Pérez.
Max Verstappen picked up the 58th success of his career, the fourth already this year, but his first on Chinese soil. Suffice to say that the control he exercises over his adversaries is still as oppressive as ever. It does not allow any hope.
Starting in pole position the day after his victory in the sprint race, Max Verstappen was never worried. The two safety car interventions did not in any way disturb his domination. At the finish, his margin over Lando Norris was 13”.
This race did not please Sauber. The Swiss team is still waiting to pick up its first point in this world championship. Finnish Valtteri Bottas was forced to retire while Chinese Guanyu Zjou finished in 14th place.
