The US Army continues testing the new generation Ghost X unmanned aerial vehicle as part of the Convergence – Capstone 4 project. The advantage of the device is its extended autonomy, writes Army Recognition, Day.Az reports with reference to Lenta.ru.
It is noted that one operator can assemble and prepare Ghost X for use in less than two minutes. Also developed by Anduril, the drone has demonstrated its ability to perform tasks in difficult weather conditions.
“Equipped with on-board computing systems and computer vision algorithms, the drone autonomously detects, classifies and tracks objects of interest, intelligently navigating the terrain and airspace. This autonomy is critical for tactical operations, where the speed and accuracy of information can change the course of combat operations,” – the material says.
The range of the device is 25 kilometers, and the maximum flight duration is 75 minutes. The device weighs 25 kilograms and can carry up to nine kilograms of payload.
