A new accelerator, ‘The Garage Downtown’, was established in Ashkelon in cooperation between the Ministry of Intelligence, the GSS and the Ashkelon Municipality, and under the management of SOSA. To date, more than 40 civilian startups have been registered, which will create intelligence solutions for the unique challenges of the GSS Southern Region.
The opening event was attended by Minister of Intelligence Elazar Stern, MK Eli Cohen, Ashkelon Mayor Tomer Glam, Dudi Rokach, project manager on behalf of SOSA and senior members of the GSS. The Minister of Intelligence, MK Elazar Stern (Yesh Atid), said, “Connecting the periphery to Startup Nation and maintaining state security.”
