A number of urgent issues were discussed at the headquarters meeting held today, February 14, under the leadership of Ruben Vardanyan, the State Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, Head of the Operational Staff.
The situation in the fields of food products, medicine, fuel, as well as infrastructure was presented.
Andranik Khachatryan, the director of “Artsakhenergo” PB Company, noted that the energy system cannot withstand the load due to the lack of gas supply and cold weather, accidents have increased, and the distribution network is in an extreme condition. The Minister of State instructed to submit proposals related to the situation to discuss with all responsible structures and to find the most effective solutions under the existing conditions.
Minister of Social Development and Migration Armen Mangasaryan presented the course of social support measures aimed at mitigating the consequences of the blockade, informing that the process of submitting applications for beneficiaries has started. The Minister of State instructed to ensure proper public awareness of the support measures so that all beneficiaries can receive the planned compensations on time.
Armen Mangasaryan also informed that the distribution of some charitable cargoes that reached Artsakh is underway. Food products received in a charitable way are provided exclusively free of charge to socially disadvantaged groups. Minister of State Ruben Vardanyan emphasized the most transparent implementation of the process, noting that it should be clear and understandable both for the charitable organizations that sent the cargo and for the public. According to him, the population should be properly informed, to whom and according to what principle the charity burden is allocated, so as not to pay tribute to various types of misinformation and speculation.
The issue of price control was also discussed at the meeting. It was informed that the “Special procedure for the circulation of goods, including the formation and control of sales prices” was approved, whereby the State Revenue Committee, the State Inspections Management Committee, the State Commission for Regulating Public Services and Economic Competition, and the administrations in the regions are entrusted with price control functions. : The Minister of State instructed the responsible bodies to continue monitoring and price studies, as well as to analyze the causes of possible inflationary manifestations.
