The electoral campaign continues and Andry Rajoelina remains the sole master on board. The president launches his campaign with enthusiasm, sure of winning the elections. The collective of 11 candidates still remains in their demand, the organization of an election with transparency and total neutrality, the margins for negotiations however remain reduced.
Last Saturday, during their peaceful demonstrations, supporters of the 11 candidates were surprised to find themselves facing the orange wave which swept through the various rallying points announced. Supporters of Andry Rajoelina have once again provoked and intimidated the pro-collective demonstrators of the 11 candidates.
Yesterday, Andry Rajoelina held a big meeting at the Malacam stadium in Antanimena after a carnival across the city. Full as an egg, the stadium has turned orange. Furthermore, the Collective denounces the double standards regarding the issuance of authorizations from the Prefecture of Antananarivo. General Angelo Ravelonarivo in fact banned access to Analakely and the surrounding area of Antanimena last Saturday to the Collective. The next day, he gave candidate No. 3 authorization to hold his electoral campaign in Antanimena.
Supporters of the collective of 11 candidates, like the artist Dama from the Mahaleo group, persist in saying that the current leaders and supporters of Andry Rajoelina are using the “wobbliness” of the texts in Madagascar to repress the people and other opinions with the sole objective of defending the interest of the outgoing president and his entourage and not for the interest of the Malagasy population, the majority and impoverished.
