In the early hours of this Thursday, a serious traffic accident was recorded on the Longitudinal del Norte highway, jurisdiction of El Cerro Partido, Chalatenango, leaving one person dead and another seriously injured.
These are PNC agent José Osmín Pérez and the injured agent, José Roberto G., who was taken to a hospital by Red Cross first responders.
Both were driving in the private vehicle that collided with two horses that were traveling on the road and then crashed into a metal collision, leaving the car completely destroyed and claiming the lives of the two horses.
Particularly, this week alone there have been three deaths of police officers, after agent Carlos Alberto Guerra died in another road accident last Monday. In addition to the death of Santos Bernardo Díaz Ibáñez, 34, another police member who died after colliding with his motorcycle with a horse on the Longitudinal del Norte highway, in Metapán.
