Al-Marsad newspaper: The British newspaper, Express, revealed the results of a study, which found a specific type of exercise that can delay the onset of graying and extend life.

The study showed that graying hair at an early age is caused by genes inherited from parents, but there are other factors that stimulate the appearance of graying, including stress, which also causes hair to fall out three times faster than usual.

Research conducted by McMaster University found that endurance exercise helps treat both hair loss and graying, and can prevent the body from aging, and also helps increase longevity, by maintaining the integrity of mitochondria in the body.

Endurance exercises include any type of aerobic activity, such as brisk walking, running or cycling, that improves cardio and respiratory fitness.

Endurance exercise keeps the heart muscles soft and the arteries flexible, which lowers the heart rate and enhances its ability to deliver oxygen-rich blood to the body’s tissues.

The study, published in the scientific journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, also found that premature aging of the organs was completely prevented in mice that ran on a treadmill three times a week for five months.

All studies have shown that the average lifespan of endurance-training athletes ranges from an additional 2.8 to 8.0 years.
