Chinese scientists have developed a small robot in the shape of a fish that can suck up microscopic plastic particles found in the deep sea.
The robotic fish, created by scientists from Southwest China’s Sichuan University, is 1.3 cm long.
Powered by infrared light, these fish absorb waste and are capable of self-healing even when damaged. A robotic fish capable of swimming faster than other robots can be used to learn details about pollution in the ocean.
