On Thursday, the Misrata Court of Appeal issued a judicial order to temporarily halt the implementation of the decision of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, to impose a 27% “tax” fee on the official exchange rate of foreign currencies, until the matter is decided.

According to its Facebook page, the court ruled in appeal No. (52/2024) submitted by the head of the Misrata Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Fathi Al-Amin Al-Turki, and a group of companies affiliated with the chamber, ruling to stop the implementation of the decision, accept the appeal in form, and temporarily halt the decision until the matter is decided. This is in the urgent part.

A similar ruling was issued yesterday, Wednesday, by the South Tripoli Court of Appeal in Administrative Appeal No. 12 of 2024 filed by the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba.
