A short time ago: 3 children in a critical condition in a car accident in Shopeat

A very serious car accident happened this morning in Shuafat – a vehicle hit pedestrians and fatally injured 3 small children – ages 3, 4, and 8.

MDA Jerusalem reported: “At 07:46, a report was received at MDA’s 101 hotline in the Jerusalem region about a car accident, a vehicle that hit four pedestrians in the Shuafat refugee camp. MDA medics and paramedics provide medical treatment and refer to Shaare Zedek and Hadassah Hospital In Mount Scopus, 3 children aged 3, 4, and 8 are in critical condition while CPR is being performed.”

MDA paramedic Nadav Tayeb said: “When we arrived in Havira with Red Crescent ambulances, they transferred to us 2 children about 3, 4 years old and an 8-year-old girl who were unconscious with multiple systemic injuries. We immediately transferred them to intensive care mobiles and evacuated them during resuscitation operations to the hospitals when they are in critical condition.”

The Jerusalem Police stated: “A short time ago, it was reported to the Israel Police that three children from Shuafat MP arrived at hospitals in Jerusalem, who were fatally injured, apparently as a result of traffic accidents that occurred there. The Israel Police opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.”
