Online ticket booking facility for AC and Non-AC WBTCL buses is available on Paytm app.
If you travel by bus frequently, you don’t need to take money out of your bag anymore as you can now use Paytm to pay for the ticket. India’s leading payment platform Paytm brand and West Bengal Transport Corporation (WBTCL) have joined hands. AC and Non-AC WBTCL buses (on 40 routes) can book tickets online through Paytm.
Through this app, you can book WBTCL bus tickets for major cities including Kolkata, Thika, Parasad, Haldia, Purulia, Durgapur, Habra, Asansol, Bolpur, Mayapur and Malta. Paytm users can easily make payments using their app.
Hence, users can now book AC and non-AC buses in Kolkata, Thika, Parasad and many other cities through Paytm.
Also, Paytm has partnered with 11 state-owned transport companies including WBTCL. Apart from Kolkata, the service seems to be available in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Rajasthan and many other states.
If you use Paytm to book your bus ticket, you are sure to get the cheapest ticket. You can pay for your ticket using various methods like Paytm UPI, Paytm Wallet, NetBanking, Debit Cards and Credit Cards. You can also cancel your ticket free of charge if required. Details on whether a fee will be charged for this are not known. Travel insurance is also provided. So you can travel worry-free. This feature is expected to come soon in Tamil Nadu as well.
