The Jordan News Agency announced today, Monday, the emergence of laboratory results confirming the registration of a case of monkeypox infection for a non-Jordanian living in Jordan.

The agency said, “The infected person is a 33-year-old male. He showed signs of infection in the form of pimples (skin rash). He is currently in isolation at Al-Bashir Hospital. He was diagnosed using a PCR test in the laboratories of the Ministry of Health, and his health condition is… “Stable.”
She added, “The Ministry of Health has confirmed that the monkeypox will continue and announces with transparency any monitored cases,” which shows “its readiness and ability to deal with any development of the disease according to the national plan that has been prepared i. progress to deal with the disease in partnership with the authorities concerned.”
She continued, “This is not the first case that Jordan has dealt with. The case was recorded on September 8, 2022, and routine procedures were followed in such cases, which were sufficient to prevent spread the infection and cure the patient without any complications.”
