Invigor is BASF’s European breeding program aimed at making southern European canola growers more flexible and successful in production. Invigor is a line of hybrids designed for the regions where the strongest climate changes occur on the continent.
BASF’s latest generation winter rapeseed hybrids help growers meet the toughest challenges of modern field production:
Short development time in autumn – the dry and warm weather in the fall naturally leads to a later withdrawal of the sowing dates. However, this shortens the period in which canola has the opportunity to successfully prepare for the upcoming cold winter weather. Here is one of the biggest advantages of BASF hybrids. Not by chance Invigor is identified with the excellent “vigor” effect. Good vigor (initial rate of plant development) gives canola a huge advantage in autumn. It quickly reaches the phase necessary for successful wintering (rosette), is less vulnerable to attacks by biting insects, and roots and develops much faster even with limited soil moisture. Well-developed canola in autumn is the most important condition for achieving high and stable yields. There are two reasons for this:

COMPLEX GENETICS WITH TOP STABILITY IN PERFORMANCE
The new conventional hybrid Inv 1310 combines the qualities of most of the new generation of hybrids of the company. It reached the market after many excellent results of trials in Eastern Europe – from the Baltic States, through Poland, Hungary, Romania and to Bulgaria. The hybrid is distinguished by high yield potential and stability in performance. What stands out, however, is the extremely fast development in autumn (better than one of the benchmarks in this direction Inv 1170), with its excellent cold resistance proven in Poland and Latvia, as well as with its excellent tolerance to diseases such as sclerotinia, phoma, alternaria and verticillium. Inv1310 shows top stability during 3 years of official testing and company micro-plot trials in all countries where it is tested. A very high pod burst tolerance and winter plant survival were also recorded.

Inv 1266 CL definitely established itself among the admirers of Clearfield technology in our country. Producers from Southern Bulgaria know this best.
