The company’s suggestion was to turn on the web cam for 8 working hours. However, the worker refused. He told the company that it was difficult for him. Then the company fired him. The worker approached the court against the company. The court observed that requiring home workers to keep their web cams on is a violation of human rights. The court ordered to pay Rs 72,700 as compensation to the worker. The court also said that the web cam footage of the worker was an invasion of privacy.
