On May 2, the police arrested a man born in 2003, who was involved in the conflict that took place at the gas station in Dobele on April 13, LETA learned from the Zemgale regional administration of the State Police.
On May 3rd, the Zemgale District Court placed the man under arrest as a security measure. He is recognized as a suspect under the article of the Criminal Law for intentional infliction of bodily harm of medium severity.
It has already been reported that Stalbe, born in 1971, was injured during this conflict.
Such an offense is punishable by imprisonment for up to three years, probation supervision, community service or a fine.
The detained man has previously been under the police’s watch for criminal offenses of a property nature, as well as for offenses against personal health.
It has already been reported that Stalbe went to a medical institution after the conflict, where he received help. The soloist of the group “Riga Reggae” told the magazine “Privatā Dzīve” that as a result of the attack he has a broken leg and nose, a bruised forehead, a serious concussion and dislocated neck vertebrae.
Stalbe arrived in Dobele on April 12 together with his colleague Kristaps Struberg. After the event, Struberg and I went to the local gas station for hot buns. When the food was ordered, several “not very hospitable” guys appeared at the gas station, the magazine reports.
They called the girl who made the buns very rude epithets. The musicians asked them to behave politely, until Stalbe, who, according to his own account, was examining goods in the sales hall at the time, was attacked from behind by the aggressors.
The aggressors did not attack Struberg, but immediately ran away, the magazine reports.
