The sheer volume of the cargo necessitated the laborious task of reloading all the meat by hand. A crane was deployed to right the meat truck, but only after the cargo was manually reloaded. Another truck driver,unable to react in time,collided with the rolling vehicle,causing the semi-trailer to swing across the roadway and block all northbound lanes. The impact ripped open the tarpaulin, scattering food, champagne, and spirits across both lanes. Cleanup efforts are ongoing, and the left lane heading towards Frankfurt remains closed due to broken glass.
