Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party held a protest march in the capital to protest the continuous killing of Bangladeshi citizens on the India-Myanmar border, rape and looting of ‘Awami cadres’ across the country.

On Wednesday (February 7) afternoon, a protest march was taken out from the party’s central office in Vijaynagar under the leadership of AB Party member secretary Mojibur Rahman Manju. The procession circumambulated various important roads.

AB Party’s joint convener Professor Dr. spoke in a short rally before the procession. Major (Retd.) Abdul Wahab Minar, Joint Member Secretary Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad and Advocate Abdullah Al Mamun Rana, Youth Party Convener ABM Khalid Hasan, Dhaka Metropolitan North Convener Altaf Hossain, Assistant Member Secretary Barrister Nasreen Sultana Milli, Hadiuzzaman Khokon, Women Leaders Central leaders including Sultana Razia.

In the rally, Abdul Wahab Minar said, this Awami League created the guard force against the army to establish Bakshal. Today again Awami League has threatened the independence and sovereignty of the country to establish the second Bakshal in the same manner. Today my BGB brother is dying in BSF firing. The people of my country are being killed by the attacks of Myanmar’s junta forces. We strongly condemn these incidents.

Mojibur Rahman Manju said that the free rape and looting of government party leaders were historical signs of Bakshali’s rule. It has gained a new dimension after the last January 7 elections. The only way to get rid of this misrule is total unity and struggle.

Barrister Fuad said, unelected government is the biggest threat to a country’s independence and sovereignty. Without the consent of the people, the country can be exploited and tortured, but the interests cannot be protected.
