Did Maccabi Haifa find a new foreign stopper after the departure of Bogdan Palanich? According to a report in Belgium, the Senegalese defender Abdoulaye Sek who played last season in Antwerp concluded his terms in the ranks of the Israeli champion.
According to the report, the 30-year-old Sak still needs to close paperwork with the Greens and if that happens – he will undergo medical tests, join the team from Carmel and be used by Barak Becher for the upcoming campaign in the Champions League.
Sek played a total of 94 games for Antwerp after moving from Norwegian side Sandfjord in 2018 for a paltry €25,000. Levlem made one appearance with the Senegal team in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers and he won the Belgian Cup with Antwerp in 2020.
Sek’s strong foot is his right. This is a tall player (1.92 m) who played in the last four seasons in Belgium and in 63 appearances in the first division completed 5,011 minutes, scored five goals and assisted two.
