Ranni Perunad (Pathanamthitta) ∙ Abhirami was moved to tears by the incessant rain. Abhirami Yatra has received all the love of the country. Abhirami was sent away with tears to her hometown at Sheena Bhavan in Perunad Cherthalapadi, where she died of rabies after being bitten by a stray dog.
The body, which was kept at the Ranni Marthomma Medical Mission Hospital, was brought home at 8 am yesterday. Neighbors and local people gathered around the house. Around 9 o’clock, the body was moved to the pandal in the courtyard of the house and people flocked to it. All the teachers of Mylapra SH Higher Secondary School came to pay their last respects to Abhirami. Friends also came.
