This Wednesday, the Association of New Technologies Companies of Girona celebrated the first edition of the ICT Talent Fairin the assembly hall of the Montilivi Institute, in which eight companies participated with a stand associated with the AENTEG, in addition to the Board of Trustees of the Polytechnic School of the University of Gironaand around a 40 students.
The goal of the day was to marry supply with demand in the technology sector, with a format de fira i «speed dating» through which, companies have had the opportunity to present to students in the last year of professional training studies, and university students who are also finishing their studies, what they do and what professional profiles they want to incorporate into their structure, facilitating contact with potential candidates.
The young people have had the opportunity to have a first contact with some companies such as Efimatica, Easypromos, Inforolot or OTC Engineering, among others. The organization explains that, on average, each company has collected between 25 and 30 CVs between the different profiles.
Despite the fact that no recruitment was closed during the day, since the fair was aimed at having a first contact, from the AENTEG they explain that they expect that in the in the coming months some of the companies may incorporate some of the young people, either in an internship format or directly as a worker.
The day started at ten in the morning and was planned to end at twelve, although the number of participants made it last two quarters of an hour longer. The fair was organized by the AENTEG together with the DUAL Prospecting team of the SSTT Girona of the Department of Education of the Generalitat, with the collaboration of the Vocational Training institutes of the eGirona municipality: the INS El Pla de l’Estany, the INS Bosc de la Coma, the Sa Palomera Institute, the Vidreres Institute, the Cendrassos Institute, the Montilivi Institute, the Rafael Campalans Institute, the Palamós Institute, and the Board of the Polytechnic School of the University of Girona.
AENTEG explains that during in the coming days they will start working on the next edition, which will be held outside the city of Girona. In addition, the organizers report that one of the possibilities on the table is to hold two editions each year.
