Abu Dhabi – The city of Abu Dhabi blossoms in natural colors. The city was completed by planting 8 million flowering plants like petunia, marigold, ageratum, hibiscus, cosmos, carnation etc. Abu Dhabi City Municipality is spearheading the project as part of the city beautification.
Different plants planted keeping in mind the importance of each region, when Mizhi opened, the city was colorfully bright. There are people who come to enjoy the beauty of blooming flowers and take selfies in their background and share them on social media. There are many people who show the beauty of the city to their relatives through video calls. Flowers bloom on both sides of the road, in the middle, on roundabouts, bridges, footpaths and parks.
The wreaths will be placed at Abu Dhabi Corniche, Albateen Area, Mussafah Road, Sheikh Rashid Bin Zayed Street, Rabdan Garden, Al Wathba, Sheikh Zayed Festival, Arabian Gulf Street, Yas Island and Al Wathba Park. The municipality informed that flowering trees have been planted in an area of 5 lakh square meters. The fragrance of certain flowers also attracts people. Seeds from different parts of the world are brought to the UAE and grown to suit the local climate, making the city colorful.
Smaller, longer-lived and full-flowering plants are selected. In 2020, 50 lakhs and 70 lakhs in 2021, the city was colorfully decorated.
Enjoy and don’t pick
Taking into consideration the happiness of the people, the municipality requested that the flowers that have been spent and bloomed should be enjoyed as much as possible and should not be polluted by plucking them. Violators are fined Dh500 (Rs 11,000).
