Abu Dhabi: The Hindu temple located in Abu Dhabi, UAE was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi in a big program last month. After the inauguration of the temple on 14th February, i.e. from 15th to 29th February, only those devotees who were already registered were being allowed to have darshan. The temple has been opened for everyone from Friday, March 1. This BAPS temple will be open to the public from 9 am to 8 pm every day except Monday from March 1. Now there will be no need for registration to visit the temple, but there are many rules which those visiting the temple will have to keep in mind.
The temple has opened its doors to people of all religions and sects. Volunteers and staff of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha will be present at the temple to assist the visitors. Decent dress is required to enter the temple. The temple has advised visitors to wear clothes that cover their shoulders and knees. There should not be objectionable designs and slogans written on clothes. Also, to maintain the sanctity of the premises, transparent, translucent, or tight-fitting clothing is also prohibited. If visitors do not follow these guidelines and staff deem someone’s attire inappropriate, they may be barred from entry.

‘No pets allowed’

Devotees visiting the temple will not be allowed to bring pets. Animals are not allowed to enter the temple premises. Along with this, bringing outside food and beverages inside the temple premises is also not allowed. Satvik food will be available in the temple premises itself. Drones are strictly prohibited within the temple premises unless permission is obtained from the local authorities. If photography and recording is being done for commercial or journalistic purposes, then permission will have to be taken from the concerned department.

Even children cannot go to the temple alone. Children must be accompanied by an adult to enter the temple premises. Bags, rucksacks/backpacks and cabin luggage are not allowed inside the temple premises. Weapons and sharp objects, knives, lighters and matchsticks will also not be taken into the temple. Smoking, use of alcohol and tobacco products is strictly prohibited in the entire temple premises including parking areas. Mobile phones can be used outside the temple but they are strictly prohibited inside the temple. Visitors have been requested not to touch the stone carvings, ornamentation, paintings or protective covering of the temple. Devotees are strictly prohibited from writing and drawing on the walls of the temple.
