A Agency for Employment Development (ADEM) released this Monday the statistics relating to employment in March in the Grand Duchy. Although the unemployment rate remained at 5.6%, offers declared by companies decreased by 20.4% compared to March 2023, and stood at 3,133.
In total, on March 31, there were 7,595 vacancies for different areas, a reduction of 26.7% year-on-year. Among the sectors most affected by this decrease are accounting and management, restaurants and hotels, construction or even the financial and real estate sectors, according to the data.
In the same sense, an additional 2,322 people were added to ADEM in March, bringing the total number of unemployed people to 17,654. In the data released by the agency, it can also be seen that the number of registered employees is on the rise among the most qualified workers, as well as those over 45 years of age.
