Rituparna Sen is a popular actress of Indian Bengali cinema. Everyone knows him as ‘R’. A few days ago he acted in a movie in Bangladesh. The actress complained that she was not paid even after a month and a half after the completion of the shoot. Not only this, the actress also said that the director-producer has stopped communicating with her.
In this regard, Ri said in an Indian media, ‘I get about three lakh taka. To me it is a huge sum of money. I have been sitting for a long time. I have been calling the director continuously for the past one and a half months, he is not picking up the phone, communication is completely off. My concern is, I will get money! Finally forced to write on Facebook. I talk to the production people on Thursday, very badly behaved. The objection is why I am asking for money. I write it on Facebook because I feel bad. Otherwise, I am not such a person who will show my personal life on Facebook.’
Ri considers this experience as a great lesson in life. In his words – ‘Actually there is a problem with sending money. I can’t figure out what the problem is right now. Worked in Sri Lanka before, no problem. This is the first time I had such a horrible experience while working in Bangladesh. I don’t understand what I should do. But a lesson has been learned. Will work with dollars in future. I will see to it that there is no financial exchange in money.’
Basically, Ri first posted his status on Facebook without getting paid. Deleted it though. However, the producer promised to pay only after giving the status on Facebook, said the angry Ri. However, the actress did not reveal the name of the director-producer.
However, praising the hospitality of Bangladesh, Ri said, ‘The people there are very hospitable. Got a very good app. There were also people carrying bags from my shoes. On the other hand, in Tollywood, shoes are a no-brainer, and when asked to carry a bag, they turn their faces. Both industries have their pros and cons. Everything was fine. But I don’t understand why it happened with money. But they promised to pay the money as soon as possible. I will wait until I get the money.’
Ri Rupali entered the world in 2009 with the movie ‘Love in India’. R. acted in several movies like ‘Gandu’, ‘Koyekti Mayer Kaga’. However, in 2015, he was highly criticized for acting in a bold scene in the movie ‘Cosmic Sex’. Even though people criticized him, he said that he did not make a mistake by playing such a role. However, the actress later said that it was not right for her to act in such a role.
