American actor Mark Margolis, who played the sinister drug kingpin Hector Salamanca in the Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul series, has died at the age of 83, his family announced on Friday August 4. Hector Salamanca, ruthless and crippled cartel leader in hit series Breaking Bad et Better Call Saul, was the best known of his roles. Born in Philadelphia in 1939, Mark Margolis moved to New York to become an actor. His career has been punctuated with secondary roles in Scarface, Ace Ventura et Black Swanor in the series Oz. He leaves behind Jacqueline, his wife of 61 years, as well as Morgan, their only child, and their three grandsons.
