Kochi: Investigation into the statement made against actor Dileep, the accused in the case of abducting and torturing the actress to film defamatory scenes as per the quotation. Director Balachandrakumar’s statement was submitted to the court. The trial court ordered a hearing on the statement before the 20th of this month. A decision will be taken later on the prosecution’s plea to stay the trial and conduct further investigation.
Director Balachandra Kumar has revealed that actor Dileep has a copy of the first accused Sunil Kumar (Pulsar Suni) torturing the actress. It was also revealed that there is a close relationship between Dileep and the first accused Pulsar Suni. It is not clear why Balachandra Kumar made such revelations as the trial phase of the case was nearing completion. According to the prosecution, if Balachandra Kumar’s statement is not recorded and the facts are not ascertained, it will be a violation of criminal procedure.
The petition was filed following the resignation of the second special prosecutor, who alleged that the trial court’s position during the witness hearing weakened the prosecution. The state Home Department has not appointed a new special prosecutor to complete the trial of the case.
