Actress Vijayalakshmi Withdraws Complaint Against Naam Tamilar Party Coordinator Seeman

Chennai: Actress Vijayalakshmi has decided to withdraw the complaint she had filed against Naam Tamilar Party coordinator Seeman at the Valasaravakkam police station in Chennai. In a written statement, she mentioned that her decision to withdraw the case was not influenced by anyone; rather, it was due to the lack of progress and action from the police.

The background of the case dates back to August 28 when Vijayalakshmi filed a complaint at the police commissioner’s office, alleging that she and Seeman were married at the Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai. She claimed to have been pregnant seven times but reported that Seeman forced her to have abortions against her will. Adding to her grievances, Vijayalakshmi accused Madurai Selvam, a member of Seeman’s party, of threatening her.

Following Vijayalakshmi’s statement before the Tiruvallur Magistrate, the Valasaravakkam police issued a summons for Seeman to appear in person. However, on the appointed day, the lawyers representing Seeman appeared instead and provided an explanation.

Recently, the Valasaravakkam police sent a second summons to Seeman, urging him to appear for questioning. In response, Seeman’s lawyer, Pasara, presented a petition written by Seeman at the Chennai Police Commissioner’s office. The petition requested that both Vijayalakshmi and Veeralakshmi, another person who accused Seeman, be present during the proceedings. Seeman also claimed that the allegations made against him were false and accused Vijayalakshmi and Veeralakshmi of publicly defaming him through videos.

In light of these developments, Seeman is scheduled to appear for trial on September 18. Additionally, Naam Tamilar Party has sent a lawyer’s notice to both Vijayalakshmi and Veeralakshmi, demanding a compensation of Rs. 1 crore and a public apology within 15 days. Failure to comply will result in the party taking legal action against them.

It remains to be seen how this case progresses and whether Vijayalakshmi’s decision to withdraw her complaint will have any impact on the ongoing controversy surrounding Seeman.
