by time news

We are Alzheimer Nederland and we use our talents and ambition for one of the greatest challenges of our time: dementia. We are working on a future without dementia and a better quality of life for people with dementia and their environment.

We have one goal in mind: progress! After all, we are the organization that represents the large group of people involved in dementia, in the region, in political The Hague, in scientific research and in the media. With this unique position, as the largest private financier of scientific dementia research and patient organisation, Alzheimer Nederland is the authority in the field of dementia. With 110 ambitious, enthusiastic employees and thousands of volunteers spread across the country, together we ensure that Alzheimer Nederland continues to grow!

Taken

As an advocate, you know the problems and wishes of people with dementia and their carers like no other. Together with them you know how to convince politicians, governments, insurers and other policymakers for an appropriate policy and support regarding dementia. The wishes of people with dementia and carers are the starting point for the positions for the local and regional lobby. You reinforce these points of view by means of research results, experiences and opinions of experts. With this you also inspire and facilitate our (voluntary) representatives in the country.

You ensure the participation in society for people with dementia and the advocates. To this end, you monitor developments in the sector, organize working visits and meetings, follow the room agenda and provide input for politicians and policymakers together with colleagues and experts by experience.

You know how to maintain your (already built up) relevant network for dementia and in the meantime you continue to build a relevant regional network with, among other things, financiers, politicians, providers, dementia networks and professional associations.

With six advocacy groups, the advocacy team is responsible for the national and local advocacy of Alzheimer Nederland. Together they aim to provide optimal support and care for people with dementia and their carers.
