After 15 long years, popular musician Monir Khan gave his voice to the song of Bangladesh Betar. This artist has given voice in four songs of Betar. Monir Khan said this information on Wednesday (September 25).
Out of the four songs sung by Monir Khan, one of the songs is being intensively practiced. Because a song is composed around the ‘anti-discrimination’ movement. “An epic poem was written in the uprising of the students-Janata/Bangladesh has newly found you in the unity of love” — the lyricist Munshi Wadud wrote the song. Composed by Maqsood Jamil Mintu.
Information and Broadcasting Advisor Nahid Islam was present in the studio during the recording of the song ‘Anti Discrimination’. He visited Betar for the first time after assuming office.
Monir Khan said about the song in ‘Basyamyyanthi’, ‘The song was recorded at Betar’s studio last Monday. Lyricist Munshi Wadud, he always writes well. There is nothing new to say about his writings. What can I say about the tune of Maqsud Jamil Mintu Bhai, it is amazing. All in all, I made a very beautiful song.’
Regarding freedom of artist’s creative work, Monir Khan said, ‘A common man says and a musician says, I will say one thing – an artist should never be hindered in his creative work. There should be no politics of revenge with artists.’
