The much-needed equipment for cleaning the shores of Lake Sevan has arrived, the Ministry of Environment reports.
The new multi-functional agricultural equipment and the truck will enable to carry out the works of cleaning the flooded areas and transporting garbage with great momentum.
At the moment, the Martuni and Noratus parts of the national park are being cleaned.
Illegally constructed buildings, fences of recreation areas, stone half-structures, iron cabins and pavilions located below the 1901.5 meter mark will also be dismantled.
The “Sevan” National Park is now cleaning the shores of the lake with its own efforts. As a result of the inspections carried out last year, it was found that the cleaning works performed by the contractor were not effective.
