Singer Justin Bieber Revealed yesterday (Friday) in a video on his Instagram page his health condition, which led him to cancel two appearances in Toronto as well as his upcoming appearances scheduled in the US.
The singer released a video in which he said he has Ramsey Hunt Syndrome (herpes zoster oticus). “As you can see, that eye is not blinking, I can not smile on this side of my face,” Bieber said. “There’s complete paralysis in the center of my face. So for those who are frustrated by the cancellations of my next shows, I’m just physically, obviously, unable to do them.”
It is a syndrome that occurs when an outbreak of shingles affects the facial nerve near one of the ears. In addition to a painful rash, Ramsey Hunt syndrome can cause facial paralysis and hearing loss in the affected ear.
