/ Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya team continues to hold on to the top of the Iraqi Premier League after the end of the 12th round and the suspension of competitions due to the commitment of many players with the national team that is preparing to participate in the Asian Championship, while Naft Al-Wasat continues to bleed points at the bottom of the standings.

Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya leads with 30 points, followed by Al-Shorta Club with a difference of two points, and in third place comes Al-Zawraa Club with 23 points, then Nawroz Club in fourth place with 19 points, and three clubs collected 18 points with a goal difference, as Maysan Oil came in fifth place, then Dohuk in sixth place, and Al-Hudud in seventh place.

Al-Talaba Club came in eighth place with 17 points, and Al-Kahraba came in ninth place with 16 points. Three clubs collected 15 points, with goal difference, as Al-Naft secured tenth place, followed by Zakho in eleventh place, then Al-Mina in twelfth place, Al-Najaf in thirteenth place with 13 points, Al-Qasim in fourteenth place with 12 points, followed by Erbil with the same points in fifteenth place, with goal difference.

Three other clubs also collected 11 points and were ranked according to goal difference, as Al-Karkh came in 16th place, followed by Naft Al-Basra in 17th place, then Amanat Baghdad in 18th place, Karbala in 19th place with 10 points, and finally Naft Al-Wasat in 20th place with 5 points.

The Football Association had decided to suspend the Iraqi Premier League for a maximum period of 40 days due to the Iraqi national team’s involvement in the Asian Championship, which will be held in Qatar on January 12.
