Kulathupuzha (Kollam) ∙ After the young man was arrested in the POCSO case and remanded by the court, within hours the victim girl was found hanging dead in the backyard next to the forest near her relative’s house.
The police found the girl from her house with the young man last Sunday after her mother lodged a complaint that the girl was missing. Later, the youth was arrested in a POCSO case. The girl was released by the court along with her mother.
The mother and the girl did not go to their own house but went to their relative’s house. The girl, who had been fighting, was found hanging dead when she was searched. He died by the time he was taken to the government hospital. The police arrested the youth in the POCSO case last day. The police said that the young man and the girl were close.
