A leading figure in the Egyptian music industry was hospitalized after a traffic incident on the Ain Sokhna Road, just after completing a highly successful concert in London. The incident has prompted concern from fellow artists and fans alike, with updates emerging from those close to the singer.
A spokesperson for the Musical Professions Syndicate confirmed that Ahmed Saad sustained back injuries in the accident, which occurred while he was traveling from a performance. He was immediately transported to a hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.
Concerns from Industry Peers
Mostafa Kamel, head of the Musical Professions Syndicate, is closely monitoring Saad’s condition. He stated he is in frequent communication with Saad’s brother, Amr Saad, to receive updates on his health. “Medical examinations are currently underway, focusing on the back and vertebrae, particularly in relation to the deployment of the vehicle’s airbag during the collision,” the spokesperson added. Kamel publicly expressed wishes for Saad’s swift recovery and return to performing.
Amr Saad also addressed the public via a social media post on Facebook, acknowledging the incident and requesting patience. “Sorry to all colleagues and media professionals for the difficulty of communicating currently, and thanks for the great interest,” he wrote. He continued, “Ahmed Saad, God willing, he will be fine after being exposed to a difficult traffic accident. God decreed that he did whatever he wanted. Pray for us.”
Triumph in London Preceded Accident
The accident occurred shortly after Saad concluded the third concert of his European tour, a performance held in London on Thursday. The event drew a large crowd from Arab communities and fans across Europe, and was hailed as a significant success.
The concert featured state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and visual effects, contributing to a memorable experience for attendees. Upon taking the stage, Saad was greeted with enthusiastic applause and raised the Egyptian flag, declaring, “Allow me to raise the flag of my country, Egypt, in my first concert in London.”
The incident casts a shadow over what was otherwise a period of professional triumph for the artist, raising questions about his immediate future performance schedule. Further updates on his condition are expected as medical evaluations continue.
