Wise AI Revolutionizes Healthcare with ‘LAM’ – The Next Generation of AI-Powered Revenue Automation

This South Korean startup is moving beyond simple AI chatbots to deliver proactive, revenue-generating solutions for hospitals and clinics, with plans for global expansion.

The era of artificial intelligence in healthcare is shifting, moving beyond question-answering tools to proactive solutions that directly impact a hospital’s bottom line. Wise AI, led by CEO Song Hyeong-seok, is at the forefront of this transformation, pioneering what they call “LAM” – Large Active Models – designed to recognize hospital environments and autonomously drive sales growth.

Song Hyeong-seok, a former accountant, founded Wise AI after witnessing firsthand the administrative burdens faced by hospital directors during a consulting project exporting a smart hospital model to Sri Lanka. He recognized a critical gap: despite the expertise of medical professionals, healthcare management remained largely analog. “AI can solve the biggest problems in the medical environment, ‘management efficiency’ and ‘increasing sales’ at the same time,” he stated.

Initially, Wise AI focused on the challenges faced by smaller, primary care clinics, where even a single staff absence can significantly disrupt operations. The company’s core philosophy centers on moving hospitals away from a reactive, patient-waiting model towards a proactive outreach strategy. “Our business model is clear. It is ‘Revenue Automation’ that goes beyond simple CRM and creates actual sales,” Song Hyeong-seok explained. “We have evolved the technology to the point where AI directly calls patients, consults with patients, and makes reservations.”

AI-Powered Solutions: DentON and AiU

Wise AI’s flagship solutions, DentON and AiU, leverage the power of AI to analyze electronic medical record (EMR) data and identify patients eligible for preventative care or insurance benefits. The AI then proactively contacts these patients to schedule appointments. For instance, the system automatically reaches out to dental patients overdue for scaling or those who haven’t booked a check-up, directly engaging them in conversation to confirm reservations. DentON is specifically tailored for dental practices, offering step-by-step care guidance, while AiU is a more versatile solution applicable across all hospital departments.

“Sending text messages all at once is not enough,” Song Hyeong-seok emphasized. “In the past, hospital staff had to make phone calls one by one during busy work, but now AI can faithfully take over that role.” The system’s API linkage with hospital EMR systems enables hyper-personalized communication based on a patient’s treatment history, and appointments are seamlessly integrated into the hospital schedule in real-time, optimizing resource allocation.

Demonstrable Results: Increased Revenue and Efficiency

The impact of Wise AI’s solutions is significant. Hospitals adopting the technology have reported an average sales increase of 34.5%, a 44% reduction in patient no-show rates, and a 15% decrease in operating costs through improved manpower efficiency and automation. As of last month, over 500 hospitals have implemented Wise AI’s solutions. “If there is an assistant who does his job silently without getting tired or leaving work 24 hours a day, the hospital director can fully focus on his main job, which is medical treatment and patient care,” Song Hyeong-seok noted.

From LLM to LAM: The Future of AI in Healthcare

While traditional AI chatbots rely on Large Language Models (LLMs) that primarily answer questions, Wise AI has advanced to the LAM (Large Active Model) concept, enabling AI to perform concrete actions. “It is a model that goes beyond conversation and directly carries out the actions needed in the actual workplace,” Song Hyeong-seok clarified.

This proactive approach extends to the company’s next-generation smart homepage solution, AI Page. Designed for hospitals lacking a website or with poorly managed online presences, AI Page provides a 24/7 communication channel for patient interaction, answering questions and offering consultations. The platform features a streamlined mini-homepage containing essential hospital information and integrates with search engines like Naver Place to facilitate immediate appointment booking. AI Page also automatically collects and analyzes patient reviews, generating content like images and videos to enhance engagement, and supports multiple languages including English, Chinese, and Japanese.

Global Expansion and Beyond

Wise AI is aggressively expanding its global reach, beginning with API integration with Open Dental, a leading EMR provider in North America. This partnership lays the groundwork for serving approximately 8,000 dental hospitals and clinics across the region. The company plans to extend its sales efforts to English-speaking countries including Canada, Australia, Singapore, and India, and is exploring a collaboration with a Japanese EMR supplier serving 4,500 dental clinics.

Beyond healthcare, Wise AI is conducting a Proof of Concept (PoC) with 3,500 Korean Taekwondo gyms in the United States, aiming to automate administrative tasks and free instructors to focus on teaching. The company is also developing AI-powered solutions for dementia and elder care, envisioning a future where AI proactively monitors the well-being of seniors and alerts caregivers to potential emergencies.

“The sophisticated and detailed AI consulting know-how accumulated in the most difficult area, the medical field, has the versatility to be immediately applied to any service industry,” Song Hyeong-seok concluded. “I believe that AI will go beyond generating profits for companies and contribute to solving various challenges in our society.” He added, “We will be reborn as a global AI agent company that helps businesses grow and provides sincere services to consumers.”
