Title: Violence Erupts in Perambalur District Collectorate, AIADMK and BJP Leaders Condemn DMK’s Actions

Chennai: In a shocking incident of violence, AIADMK General Secretary Palaniswami and BJP President Annamalai have strongly condemned the actions of DMK members at the Perambalur District Collectorate. The incident occurred when around 300 individuals, including an assistant to the Transport Minister and an assistant to a DMK MLA, stormed the collectorate with intentions to secure a quarry tender exclusively for the DMK.

According to reports, the Assistant Director of Mineral Resources and his aide were assaulted when they refused to comply with the DMK’s demand. In an attempt to prevent further violence, the police, including the DSP, were also attacked by the DMK members. Those who arrived to offer the contract were chased away.

Expressing his concern, AIADMK General Secretary Palaniswami called upon the Chief Minister to take strict action against the DMK members responsible for these acts of anarchy. He condemned the violence and urged for justice to be served.

Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai also strongly condemned the actions of the DMK, highlighting that the party attacked government officials, journalists, and BJP leaders who were present to offer the contract in Kalkuari. He expressed alarm over the situation at the collector’s office, emphasizing the need for immediate arrest of the DMK members involved.

Annamalai raised concerns about the security of government officials and emphasized the deteriorating law and order situation in Tamil Nadu. He questioned the state’s ability to protect the common people if the authorities fail to control mobs. Annamalai warned that failure to arrest the perpetrators would lead to a protest demonstration in Perambalur on November 3, under the leadership of Tamil Nadu BJP General Secretary Karupu Muruganandam.

The incident in Perambalur District Collectorate has sparked outrage among political leaders and the public alike. Calls for swift action and justice are growing louder as the state government faces mounting pressure to respond to the violence perpetrated by DMK members. Authorities are yet to comment on the incident or outline a plan of action.
