The members of the AIBA coordinating committee, who were in Yerevan on a two-day working visit, highly appreciated the preparatory work carried out by Armenia for the organization of the World Youth Boxing Championship. This was reported by the press service of the FBF.

We remind you that from November 25 to December 8, Yerevan will host the participants of the World Youth Boxing Championship.

The Coordinating Committee is a working group formed by AIBA representatives, which will monitor from the preparatory work to the end of the championship, so that this sporting event will be conducted in accordance with AIBA traditions and standards.

The members of the committee – AIBA sports director Emeline Gerbel, technical delegate David French and database manager Philip Yu – during these days had meetings with the RA Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, the Olympic Committee and the management of the Boxing Federation. The guests visited the sports halls where the athletes will train during the championship days, studied the hotel conditions, got acquainted with the building possibilities of the sports and concert complex, as well as with the works currently underway in the complex.

“The preparations carried out in this short period of time give reason to expect that the World Youth Boxing Championship will be held in Yerevan at a proper level,” the members of the AIBA coordinating committee noted with satisfaction.
