Ajax finished the game with Go Ahead Eagles (1-1) with an 11-player squad, who were born in the 21st century, something that has never happened before in the Eredivisie.

The season for Ajax is not going well at all. It was eliminated by Aston Villa in the last 16 of the Conference League, while in the Eredivisie it is in 5th place, which means that it will fight hard to ensure its European presence next season.

On Thursday (4/4) Aiantas drew 1-1 with Go Ahead Eagles, however they achieved something really special, which shows the team’s focus, building for the future. In particular, in the last 13 minutes he played only with footballers who were born in the 21st century, that is, from 2000 onwards. They became the first team in the Eredivisie to do so.

In fact, the only Ajax player who played in the game and was born before 2000, was Steven Bergwein (born in 1997) and a change was made in the 77th minute, in order for Ayandas to achieve the record.

Ajax XI: Ramai (2001), Rennes (2003), Hato (2006), Kaplan (2003), Manswerk (2002), Tahirovic (2003), Gaye (2002), Taylor (2002), Hlinson (2004), Godz (2005), Bergwein (1997)
