Kannur ∙ Party investigation against DYFI central committee member M. Shajar on the complaint that he received gold from Akash Tillankeri, accused of Shuhaib murder case. The party is investigating the complaint of CPM district committee member Manu Thomas. The complaint also states that Shajar is leaking the secrets of CPM to Akash. District Secretariat member M. Surendran is investigating the complaint.

The complaint is accompanied by audio evidence of Akash and Shajar talking. The commission of inquiry took a statement from the complainant. DYFI youth leader M. Shajar had made a speech in a public meeting in Thillankeri that Akash had clarified his stand against Tillankeri and the media should close the issue. The investigation is after that. The Principal Sessions Court had ordered to send a notice to Akash Tillankeri on the prosecution’s petition to cancel the bail in the Shuhaib murder case. On the complaint of DYFI local leaders, Muzkunn police have registered a case against Akash for insulting women, and Mattanur police have registered a case for threatening a DYFI activist through Facebook. Due to this, the police approached the court to cancel the bail.
