Until December 27, 2021 inclusive, AKBA Bank will direct 0.3% of each payment made with the cards already issued and to be issued by the bank to the Military Servicemen’s Insurance Fund. As part of the initiative, at the end of 2020, the bank has already transferred 22 million drams to the fund.

In 2020, the bank provided another 50 million drams to the Servicemen’s Insurance Fund as a one-time support. Last year, the bank also joined the fund’s “Let’s turn one into two” project, doubling the 1,000 drams transferred to the fund by each employee every month. The initiative was joined by the other 2 structures of the financial group: AGBA Liznig and Amundi-AKBA. Last year, the latter also supported the fund with 10 and 20 million drams, respectively.

“Our entire staff and team value the activities of the Servicemen’s Insurance Fund very much. We started cooperation with the fund parallel to last year’s events. It was clear to us that we should immediately support, be loyal to the foundation and set an example of helping. If we unite as a nation, we will be able to solve the problems faced by the fund together,” said Hakob Andreasyan, Chief Executive Officer of AKBA Bank.

“When the customer makes a payment and knows that he is also helping a disabled serviceman, the family of a dead serviceman, the family of a missing serviceman, a spouse, a parent, he feels much more involved and has his involvement in that work. All over the world, representatives of the business community want their donations or social responsibility to go where their customers want to see it. Since our cardholders want to help, AKBA Bank, listening to the call of its customers, tries to help. Every penny that we will receive as a result of the payment of AKBA Bank customers will go to one or another family,” said Varuzhan Avetikyan, director of the Military Servicemen’s Insurance Fund.

Donations to the Military Insurance Fund can also be made through the ACBA Digital app without any commission.

The Servicemen’s Insurance Fund provides compensation to the families of servicemen killed in war, disabled and missing. Compensations are provided one-time and long-term for 20 years.

In case of making payment operations with the bank’s Visa Charitable card, the bank donates 0.3% of the transaction amount to the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.
