In Tafkaght, one of the most damaged douars, local authorities are working hard to accelerate the reconstruction phase, as in other neighboring localities impacted by this natural disaster which struck several provinces of the Kingdom.

Thus, the operation to process grievances and requests made by residents is progressing at a sustained pace, in application of the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI aimed at benefiting all residents whose houses have been totally or partially collapsed by the earthquake, the financial aid allocated for this purpose as well as all the aid and facilities inherent to the start of the reconstruction operation.

In this wake, colossal efforts are being made to ensure the clearing of the premises and the removal of rubble using machines and equipment of all categories in order to ensure the efficiency and speed of the demolition operations.

Approached by MAP, Lhousaine Bouhouli, technician at the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Equipment and Water in Al Haouz, explained that the Directorate, in full coordination with local authorities, is continuing the operation of removal of rubble and rubble from all douars and localities in the province.

After the end of the census operation by the competent commissions of homes totally or partially demolished by the earthquake, and the granting of financial aid to the people concerned, the Regional Directorate, notes Mr. Bouhouli, mobilized significant human, technical and logistical resources to carry out the demolition operation. The aim is to create the appropriate conditions for the population concerned in order to begin the reconstruction phase.

In similar statements, several residents from the douar of “Tafkaght” and neighboring douars, highly praised the efforts made by local authorities and other stakeholders to support the population in completing the various procedures necessary to receive aid. financial, as well as in the procedures relating to demolition and reconstruction operations.

In this context, they expressed their joy and satisfaction at being able to regularly benefit from monthly financial aid in the amount of 2,500 DH and at having received the first tranche of direct financial aid of 20,000 DH intended for the rebuilding their homes.

They also expressed their deep gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the High Concern with which the Sovereign continues to surround the populations of the areas affected by the earthquake.

In application of the High Royal Instructions, the government grants direct financial aid amounting to 140,000 dirhams for completely collapsed housing and 80,000 dirhams to cover the rehabilitation work on partially collapsed homes, it is recalled.
