This evening, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya team achieved an important victory over Erbil 1-2, while the league leader, Al-Shorta team, tied with Al-Najaf 2-2 in the Iraqi Premier League.
The correspondent of the (INA) said: “The Air Force team achieved an important victory over Erbil 1/2 this evening in the match that took place at Al-Shaab Stadium in the 36th round of the Iraqi Premier League. All the goals of the match came in the first half, as Erbil took the lead first in the 5th minute through Rawa Youssef, while Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya equalized in the 9th minute through a penalty kick, and Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya player Mustafa Walid strengthened Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya’s lead in the 24th minute of the first half.”
In a second match, the leaders Al-Shorta returned with a valuable draw against Al-Najaf after being behind by two goals in the first half, scored by Tunisian professional Hazem Al-Monastir in the 15th minute and Al-Bashir Bin Muhammad in the 24th minute. Al-Shorta succeeded in returning to the competition again after scoring two goals in the added minutes, the first came through Ali Hasni in the 91st minute, while the second came through a penalty kick in the 104th minute by Sajjad Jassim.
Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya reduced the points tally ahead of the leader to 3 points with 78 points, while Al-Shorta’s points tally rose to 81 points in the lead, two rounds before the end of the Iraqi Premier League competitions.
