Homeland Today: A source said that the Al-Qassam Brigades – the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) – handed over to the Red Cross two Israeli detainees in Palestine Square in the center of Gaza City, while the Israeli Prison Service announced the start of transferring Palestinian prisoners to Ofer Prison in preparation for their release.
In turn, Israeli occupation army spokesman Daniel Hagari confirmed that the Red Cross received two female Israeli detainees in Gaza on Thursday.
Hagari added that the Red Cross is expected to receive more Israeli detainees held by Hamas within hours.
Israeli Army Radio said, “The two female detainees who were released in Gaza were received by Israeli security forces.”
According to the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Detainees Affairs Authority, 30 male and female prisoners are scheduled to be released on Thursday evening as part of the seventh batch of the exchange deal, in exchange for the release of 10 Israeli detainees, women and children.
For its part, Al-Aqsa Satellite Channel said that the list of prisoners included in the release of the seventh day of the exchange deal includes 8 Palestinian female prisoners from inside the country, in addition to 22 child prisoners from the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.
Since Friday, over the course of 6 days, Israel has received 102 women and children detainees, including 78 Israelis, in exchange for the release of 234 Palestinian prisoners, women and children, also in Israeli occupation prisons, according to the exchange deal.
