Al-Marsad newspaper: The family doctor, Dr. Saud Al-Shehri, revealed simple steps to combat paresthesia, lethargy and control sugar in diabetic patients.

Al-Shehri said, in the video, which he posted on his Twitter account: “For diabetics, tingling in the feet and hands, lethargy, excess weight, constipation and lack of appetite, all of these symptoms are supported by the vitamins of the B compounds.”

He pointed out: “The best B vitamins that you use for a diabetic patient are vitamins B1, B2, 6, 9 and B12, but do not use B3.”

He pointed out, “Vitamin B1 reduces inflammation and neuropathy, and B2 acts as an antioxidant, and sugar has high oxidation and is important in the metabolism process, so it produces energy and fights lethargy.”

He explained: “B6 reduces and coats nerve endings, and B9 is important for cell division and regeneration of dead cells,” noting: “Vitamin B12 coats nerve endings with myelin, works to regenerate nerve cells, and cancels nerve signals, thus eliminating tingling, paresthesia, lethargy and pain.”

Al-Shehri advised diabetics not to eat sugar because it drains stomach acid, urging them to reduce carbohydrates, acidity medications and contraception.
