Alain Delon Inheritance Dispute: Son seeks to Exclude Sister From Will
A bitter family feud has erupted over the estate of French cinema icon Alain Delon, with his youngest son,Alain-Fabien Delon, publicly accusing his sister,Anouchka,of manipulating their ailing father and seeking to exclude her from the inheritance. The legal battle, revealed on RTL radio on Thursday, December 11, centers around a contested will signed two years before Delon’s death.
Alain-Fabien Delon, 31, alleges that his sister exploited their father’s declining health to secure the majority of his assets, a claim that goes beyond a simple dispute over money. He insists the core issue is upholding his father’s true wishes. “It is not a question of money, but to ensure that the last wishes of (his) father are respected,” he stated.
The dispute revolves around two wills. The first, signed in 2005, divides the estimated €25 million estate relatively evenly among the three children: Anouchka receiving 50%, with Anthony and Alain-Fabien each receiving 25%. However, a second will, signed in 2022, reportedly names Anouchka as the sole heir to Delon’s moral rights and granted her a 51% stake in Alain Delon International Distribution (ADID) just three months after its signing – a company she subsequently used to launch a clothing brand.
According to alain-Fabien, this second will is a product of undue influence and potentially even “embezzlement or theft.” He alleges that his sister and others took advantage of his father’s weakened state following a stroke in 2019. “It keeps me up at night,” he said, claiming his father’s condition had deteriorated to the point where administrative and social surveillance was recommended, with reports indicating dementia and periods of rambling incoherence. He pointed to a disturbing change in his father’s personality as a key indicator of manipulation. “From the moment he became soppy and nice, there was a problem.”
The youngest Delon further claims that Anouchka initiated legal procedures while their father was hospitalized at the Genolier clinic in Switzerland, alleging she had him “exfiltrated” from the clinic to sign the contested will. He also voiced concerns about the actions of three executors he believes are attempting to profit from the situation.
The conflict extends to the future of the Delon family estate in douchy, Loiret, where Alain Delon is buried. While Anouchka and Anthony reportedly favor selling the property, Alain-Fabien is vehemently opposed.”How to make a profit on Dad’s final resting place?” he asked, expressing deep emotional distress at the prospect.
Despite the acrimony, Alain-fabien maintains his motivation is not financial gain.”Otherwise I would already have my money,” he asserted, stating he is “getting by” and has always been self-reliant. He is prepared for a protracted legal battle, stating, “I have not been taken seriously in this procedure from the start… I intend to see things through to the end.”
The unfolding legal drama promises a prolonged and deeply personal struggle within the Delon family, raising serious questions about elder care, inheritance rights, and the preservation of a cinematic legacy.
